Vega Yearbook is excited to partner with the Vega Athletic Booster Club to launch our Photo of the Week! Each week, we’ll feature one photo submitted from parents, students, or fans that shows the spirit and pride of Longhorn athletics. 🖤💛
➡️ Submit your favorite shots from any Longhorn sporting event — action, crowd spirit, or special moments.
➡️ Each week’s winning photo will be spotlighted on Booster Club social media, shared with the yearbook staff, displayed at school and win some fun prizes sponsored by the Booster Club.
➡️ All weekly winners will be entered into a Grand Prize drawing for a Longhorn Spirit Pack!!

In preparation for student return, staff have completed training on administering epinephrine, using LifeVac for choking emergencies, and practicing evacuation and reunification drills. Safety and readiness are a top priority as we kick off the 2025 school year!
Our teachers are back on campus and hard at work preparing for a great year ahead. Meanwhile, our football and volleyball athletes are already deep into two-a-days, putting in the time and effort to make this season one to remember. 🖤💛

In compliance with House Bill 1481, students are not allowed to use personal communication devices (cell phones, tablets, smartwatches, etc.) at any point during the school day—this includes passing periods, lunch, and athletics.
✅ At Vega ISD, we’re updating our campus procedures to follow the law while still keeping communication open when it matters most.
✔️ Devices brought to school must be turned off and kept in backpacks before entering the building.
