Out of an abundance of caution and due to the continued extreme cold temperatures that are expected to continue tomorrow, Vega ISD will be closed Monday, January 26th.
Wind chills are forecasted to be in the single digits, and road conditions remain slick and are expected to stay slippery throughout the night. Additionally, many of our students and staff members travel from out of town, and ensuring the safety of both our students and staff is always our top priority.
We appreciate your understanding as we make decisions with the well-being of our school community in mind. Please take precautions during this extreme weather, stay safe, and stay warm.

#StockMarketGame competition! The students in Mrs. Fangman's Economics class learned about investing and built a 10-week simulated stock portfolio. Jessy ended the game with the highest total equity among the 95 participating teams in the region. He was awarded the winning banner and medal, along with an American Express gift card.

Due to a shortage of referees, there will be no JV games tomorrow at Sunray. Varsity girls will begin at 6:15 p.m., followed by varsity boys.
Due to weather concerns for this weekend, High School games scheduled for Friday 1/23 have been moved to Thursday 1/22 @ Sunray.
Therefore, the jr. High tournaments will be postponed until next Thursday 1/29 only. NO SATURDAY.
