With two years of service to Vega ISD, Heather Smith is an engaging educator who has quickly become an integral part of Vega ISD. As a High School FCS (Family and Consumer Sciences) Teacher, she imparts not only knowledge but essential life skills to our students.

Heather's family is at the center of her world. She and her husband are parents to a spirited 4-year-old daughter, Hartley. They moved back to Vega a little over three years ago.
Beyond the classroom, Heather and her husband enjoy taking rides on their motorcycle. They also love spending quality time with Hartley, who shares their love for the outdoors.
Her perfect weekend is a simply spent with her family, having a movie night in their living room, creating lasting memories together.
On her bucket list is the exhilarating experience of skydiving, a thrilling adventure she hopes to embark on someday.
Heather's commitment to education is clear, as she proudly mentions that this marks her eighth year as a teacher. She's taught at various levels, from elementary to junior high, but high school students hold a special place in her heart. Her dedication and enthusiasm for teaching them life skills that will benefit them years beyond their high school years.
