ABOUT US

Vega is a small town located west of Amarillo. Surrounded by wide-open spaces and big skies, Vega offers a peaceful and tight-knit community for its residents. With a population of around 900, Vega embodies the classic American small town, where neighbors know each other by name and come together to support one another. The town's location along I-40 makes it easily accessible, and close proximity to Amarillo. Despite its small size, Vega boasts a rich history and a strong sense of community pride, making it a wonderful place to call home.

Vega Independent School District is a close-knit educational community dedicated to providing a high-quality learning experience for students. With a focus on personalized learning and innovative teaching practices, Vega ISD provides students in grades PK-12 with a well-rounded education that prepares them for the challenges of the future.
