Meet our JH Secretary: Heather VanDyke
Heather is the friendly face that students and parents encounter when they visit the junior high school. Her willingness to assist and her dedication to providing a positive experience for all reflect her exceptional qualities.
Three Words to Describe Heather:
Loyal: Heather is known for her dedication and commitment to her role at Vega ISD. Her loyalty extends not only to her work but also to the students, teachers, and staff she interacts with daily.
Loving: Her warm and caring nature creates a welcoming atmosphere at our school. Heather genuinely cares about the well-being and success of our students, and her love for what she does shines through in her interactions.
Team-Player: Heather understands the importance of teamwork in achieving our school's goals.
Family: Heather has two children, Caige is in 8th grade and Colson is in 4th grade. They moved to Vega in December and love the support of the community through the years. Caige and Colson love to play sports and stock show.
Interests Outside of Work: Heather enjoys reading and cooking.
Fun Facts: Heather is originally from Missouri. Heather is also enrolled in college where she is pursuing a degree in Business Management majoring in Accounting.
Favorite Part of the Job: “lThe people I work with hands down! Everyone here is like a big happy family.”
Perfect Weekend Getaway: Heather’s ideal weekend would start with leaving work on a Friday and heading straight for the mountains. She envisions staying in a cozy cabin, surrounded by nature. Her perfect weekend involves hiking on scenic trails and spending quality time with her children.
Bucket List Adventure: Heather's bucket list includes a dream vacation to Scotland.
