Vega ISD had several students participate this past weekend in the Oldham Co. or Deaf Smith Co. stock show. We are so proud of their hard work!

Vega Junior High Honor Roll for the 2nd 9-Weeks. We have some HARDWORKING kiddos!

Vega 🏀 basketball teams played great on Friday vs Panhandle. The varsity girls came up a little short but played a great game. Both boys teams got wins!! Vega will be at Bovina on Tuesday and Farwell here on Friday. Come support your Longhorns teams and get a pancake 🥞 on Friday at the FFA/FCCLA pancake supper.

The Vega powerlifting team had a great day in Panhandle on Saturday! Our top five finishers were Sora Gamel 2nd place, Ashlyn TeVelde 3rd place, Natalie Ortiz 3rd place, Cash Black 3rd place and Brandon Trujillo 3rd place! We are excited to see what these young lifters are going to accomplish this year! #VegaStrong

🐝📚✨ Spelling Bee Success at Vega ISD! 🌟🏆 Today marked an incredible Spelling Bee day at Vega ISD, with a whopping 48 students participating across grades 3-8! 🌟👏 🏅 In the Elementary spelling bee, 15 talented spellers faced off in a nail-biting 18 rounds of words! 🤯 Huge congratulations to Gentry Naughton, who emerged victorious as the WINNER! 🏆🌟 Kendyleigh Barfoot & Creed Ragland also shone brightly as our outstanding runner-ups. 👏👏 🎓 Moving on to the Junior High Spelling Bee, where a whopping 33 spellers tackled 6 challenging rounds of words. 🧠🔠 Our JH Spelling Champion is none other than Mason Carlson! 🌟🏅 Logan Davis & Chris Lamm demonstrated exceptional skills and earned well-deserved runner-up positions. 🎉 👏👏 A big round of applause to all participants for their hard work and dedication! Basketball Boys Schedule Update!! The JV boys will play at 4:00p.m. and varsity boys will play at 5:15p.m. tonight vs Stratford. The girls will play at Highland Park JV-4:30p.m., V-6:00 p.m. in the old gym.

Vega ISD will have a 10:00am late start on Tuesday, January 9th with buses running 2 hours late. Full day Pre-k arrive at 10:00a.m. half day pre-k will come at 12:25p.m. We will continue to monitor road and weather conditions and notify parents and staff of any changes.
