The art students competed in the VASE (Visual Arts Scholastic Event) in Amarillo on Saturday. Haydien Munoz, Adilyn Martinez, Kyleigh Cousins, Caden Davis and Briseis TwoTwo earned a four (highest award). Hayden Glover earned a 3. Abi Vincent earned a 4 and qualified for state competition! Congratulations!!!

Madison Osborn was RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION of the San Antonio Stock Show!! She earned $10,000 in scholarship money. Congratulations! We are so proud of you!

Maigyn Ellis placed 1st in senior showmanship and her project placed 3rd in class. Awesome job!!

The Vega FCCLA fundraiser was a huge success this year! Mrs. Smith’s FCS classes helped out in the making of the orders! We made 420 chocolate dipped pretzels, 600 cake pop bites, and 444 chocolate covered strawberries! Thank you all for the help and support with this fundraiser!

It was a great Saturday for the Vega longhorn powerlifting team! Maddison Osborne placed first with a 670 lb. Total Briseis Twotwo placed 2nd with a 665 total Both girls qualified for Regionals‼️ Charlie Montgomery placed 4th with a 620 total Walker Te velde placed 4th with 860 lb. Total Cash Black placed 3rd with a 875 total Brody Black placed 1st with a 1255 total Jacob Hernandez placed 1st with a 1760 total also got heavy plateform best lifter of the meet! Brandon Trujillo placed 1st with a 750 lb total. The boys placed third as a team with 28 points!
